About Us
Trikes for Tikes was founded in 2000 by members of Northeast Christian Church. Christmas of that year, these members repaired and donated 25 bicycles to children whose families didn't have the financial resources to provide these gifts. At its beginning, the ministry was focused on giving only to young children, particularly during Christmas.

Since then, Trikes for Tikes has expanded to serve both children and adults in need year round, which is made possible by partnerships with organizations including Home of the Innocents, Boys and Girls Haven, Centro Latino, Catholic Charities, St. Vincent DePaul Society, and the Beecher’s Terrace and Park Hill housing community.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does it work?
A: Trikes for Tikes volunteers accept bicycles you have outgrown or no longer use. The time it takes Trikes for Tikes to receive a donated bicycle, perform repairs, and distribute the bicycle to a recognized charity or individual is often less than just a couple weeks. Your donated bicycle makes its way to a needy family quickly, and we expressly share Christ’s love with every donation.
Q: Does my bicycle have to be in working condition to donate?
A: Nope! Bicycles do not need to be operable to be donated to Trikes for Tikes. We fix flat tires, bent wheels, failed brakes, and numerous other issues; clean the bikes; and donate them directly to adults, children, and toddlers in need.
Q: Why donate bikes?
A: For children, bicycles offer a way to get outside and play. This provides them with an avenue to go out and be active that they might not otherwise have. While adults may use them for leisure as well, many use donated bikes as a method of transportation that they otherwise couldn't afford.
Q. How do I donate?
A: You can drop off your donations at one of three locations. Or, we can pick up your donation. Just contact us.
